Dr. Tenembaum currently serves as a Senior Consultant in charge of the Pediatric Neuroimmunology Clinic and Program, Department of Neurology, Pediatric Hospital Dr. Juan P. Garrahan in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She is a member of the Steering Committee of the International Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis Study Group, an active member of the NMO-Roundtable Study Group, Guthy Jackson Charitable Foundation, and Executive Board Member of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA).

She has participated in the International Panel for the 2015 NMOSD Diagnostic Criteria, 2023 MOGAD Diagnostic Criteria, Optic Neuritis Diagnosis and Classification, and is currently working with the IPND for the 2025 Revised NMOSD Diagnostic Criteria and 2025 ADEM Diagnostic Criteria.
